ShowTails Terms of Service

Welcome to ShowTails, a digital platform designed to help rabbit breeders manage their herds, pedigrees, litters, and show records. By creating an account, starting a free trial, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ShowTails (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. These Terms apply to all users, including those using free accounts, free trials, subscription plans, or one-time purchases (if offered).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have parental or guardian consent to use ShowTails. By using the App, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

3. Account Registration

  • You must register an account to access most ShowTails features.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

  • If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately at showtailspedigreeapp@gmail.com.

4. Plans, Trials, and Payments

ShowTails may offer access through one or more of the following:

  • Recurring Subscription Plans (Monthly and/or Annual)

  • Free Trial(s)

  • One-Time Purchase Plans (if offered)

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.

4.1 Free Trials (If Offered)

  • Free trials provide temporary access to paid features for the trial period shown at signup.

  • Unless disclosed otherwise at signup, trials may convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial.

  • Trial eligibility may be limited (for example, one trial per user or account).

Data Created During Trial
All data created, uploaded, or entered during a free trial—including rabbit records, pedigrees, litters, breeding data, and show records—will be automatically deleted at the end of the trial period if a paid purchase or subscription is not completed before the trial expires.

ShowTails is not responsible for retaining, exporting, or recovering trial data once a trial ends without conversion to a paid plan. Trial data deletion overrides any dormant-account retention or export provisions.

4.2 Monthly and Annual Subscriptions

By purchasing a subscription, you authorize ShowTails and Stripe to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis according to your chosen billing cycle (monthly or annual).

  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the next billing date.

  • Managing & Cancellation: Subscriptions may be managed or canceled through your User Profile within the app and redirected to Stripe for payment management.

  • Effect of Cancellation: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and access remains available through the paid period.

  • Fees & Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable, except where required by law or explicitly stated otherwise by ShowTails.

  • Pricing Changes: We may modify subscription pricing with reasonable notice as required by law. Pricing changes apply to future billing cycles only.

4.3 One-Time Purchases (If Offered)

If one-time purchases are available:

  • A one-time purchase grants continued access to designated features without recurring fees.

  • Payments are final and non-refundable, except as required by law.

  • Purchases include access to features available at the time of purchase.

  • New or expanded premium features may require a separate payment or upgrade.

  • One-time access remains valid only while ShowTails continues to operate and maintain its platform.

5. Account Requirements & Non-Transferability

  • An active account is required to access paid or subscribed features.

  • Accounts, subscriptions, and purchases are non-transferable and may not be shared, resold, or reassigned.

  • Accounts terminated for violating these Terms may lose access to paid features without refund.

6. Referral Program

ShowTails may offer a referral program allowing eligible users (“Referrers”) to earn rewards for inviting new users (“Referred Users”).

6.1 Program Availability

The Referral Program may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Reward amounts, eligibility, and redemption rules will be disclosed in-app or in official ShowTails communications.

6.2 Eligibility

  • Referrers must have an account in good standing.

  • Referred Users must be new to ShowTails as determined by ShowTails.

  • Referrals must be made using official referral methods provided by ShowTails.

6.3 Qualified Referrals & Rewards

Rewards may be issued as account credits, subscription discounts, or other non-cash benefits once all referral conditions are met.

6.4 Limitations & Expiration

  • Referral rewards have no cash value and are non-transferable.

  • Rewards may expire and may be subject to caps or usage limits.

6.5 Prohibited Referral Activity

Users may not engage in self-referrals, fake accounts, automated signups, spam, misrepresentation, or any fraudulent or unlawful referral activity.

6.6 Withholding or Reversal

ShowTails reserves the right to withhold or revoke referral rewards if a referral is found to be invalid, fraudulent, refunded, charged back, or in violation of these Terms.

7. User Data & Ownership

  • You retain ownership of all data you upload to ShowTails.

  • By uploading content, you grant ShowTails a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to operate and support the platform.

  • ShowTails does not sell user data.

8. Data Accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all data entered. ShowTails does not verify or guarantee the correctness of user-submitted information, including pedigrees, OCR results, imports, or breeding data.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Submit false or fraudulent data.

  • Harass or abuse other users.

  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.

  • Circumvent paywalls or security features.

  • Violate ARBA rules, local laws, or ethical breeding standards.

10. Platform Availability & Modifications

ShowTails may modify, restrict, or discontinue features, pricing, or access at any time. Reasonable notice will be provided for material changes when feasible.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, misuse of data, referral fraud, or non-payment. Upon termination, access to the App and paid features may be revoked.

12. Data Retention & Dormant Accounts

User data is retained while an account remains active.

Dormant Accounts: Accounts not accessed for more than 365 days may have their data exported and emailed to the registered email address before deactivation. This provision does not apply to free-trial accounts that do not convert to a paid plan.

13. No Warranty

ShowTails is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted service or data preservation.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShowTails shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the preceding 12 months or the one-time purchase amount.

We use industry-standard security practices to protect user data. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.

16. Third-Party Services

ShowTails relies on third-party hosting, infrastructure, and payment services. We are not responsible for service interruptions or failures caused by third-party providers.

17. Continuity of Access

If ShowTails permanently ceases operations, all access will end. Users will be given a reasonable opportunity to export their data prior to shutdown where feasible.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Clark County, Ohio.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of ShowTails after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
